Stanza

How it works

Where schedules come from

Every calendar has a clear source. Major sports and TV flow in from official data feeds, and creators publish and maintain the rest right here.

Add 'Em All

Two trusted sources

Official data feeds

For major sports and TV, we pull from official and licensed providers, then convert every start time to your device. Fixtures for the NFL, NBA, and Premier League flow in automatically.

Creators who manage their own

Leagues, clubs, colleges, and independent organizers publish and maintain their schedules on Stanza. A local running club or a college program keeps its own calendar current.

What happens overnight

  1. EVERY NIGHT: We re-pull every automated schedule 60,000 plus teams, leagues, and shows, compared against what we published the day before.
  2. CHANGES LAND: Moves, postponements, new fixtures Moved games get their new start times, and TV episodes pick up air dates as networks confirm them.
  3. BY MORNING: Your feed reflects everything The calendar your app reads matches everything the source changed. Creator edits go live for subscribers immediately.

Schedules are messier than they look

Your calendar corrects itself

Real schedules are moving targets. The NFL flexes games to primetime with a few weeks notice. Playoff times start as TBD and firm up round by round. Streaming services announce a premiere long before an episode list exists. Our approach: publish what the source has confirmed, then let the calendar correct itself as details firm up. The event on your phone quietly moves to the right time; you never have to go hunting for the change.

And when something breaks

Feeds go down, links die, and a source occasionally publishes something wrong. We monitor for calendars that stop updating and for links that stop resolving, and fix them rather than leaving them up to mislead you. If you spot an error we missed, every calendar has a way to flag it, and reports go to a person who can actually fix the schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Where do Stanza calendars come from?

Two places: official and licensed data feeds for major sports and TV, and creators who publish and maintain their own schedules directly on Stanza.

How often do automated schedules refresh?

Overnight, every night. Any change at the source, from a moved kickoff to a newly announced fixture, is reflected by morning. Stanza+ calendars pick up changes even faster.

What happens when a game time changes?

The change flows into the feed your calendar app subscribes to, and the event on your phone updates itself on the next sync. Reminders you set on the event move with it.

How do you handle TBD and flexed games?

We publish what the league has confirmed. A playoff game listed as TBD gets its real time the moment it is announced, and a flexed NFL game moves to its new slot automatically.

Are creator-managed calendars reliable?

They are maintained by the organizers themselves, and every calendar shows when it last updated, so you can see it is being kept current before you rely on it.

Can I publish my own schedule?

Yes. Creators can publish a calendar on Stanza for free, and every subscriber stays in sync automatically as they make changes.
